In 1996, Bob and Jeanne Johnson set out to create a company specializing in light gauge steel structures. One based on the core values of honesty, guaranteed workmanship, and commitment to the customer.
Under their leadership, Steelport quickly earned a reputation for fast, friendly, and reliable service with general contractors, developers, and private homeowners across the Pacific Northwest and Idaho.
In 2014 former employee George “Butch” Hicks took over and the Johnsons retired. Butch is committed to honoring Steelports’ core values and taking pride in a job well done.
Now, over two decades later, we at Steelport still believe in sealing every deal with a handshake, and look forward to welcoming you to our growing client family.
Our Materials
Whether it is for new construction, or materials needed for repairs, we use only the highest quality material available. Concrete footings, galvanized steel posts, galvanized beams, Zincalume® roof deck, and 6″ facia (available in 24 colors) are standard features for many of our structures. We offer a 20-year Factory Warranty on roof deck and a Satisfaction Guarantee on workmanship and repair services.
